Merrell shoes at Vince Canning helps homeless

merrell.jpg

Buy a pair of Merrell shoes at Vince Canning Shoes in Delray Beach through Dec. 10 and Merrell will donate $5 to Kids of Compassion, an organization that puts together shoe boxes filled with food, water, and toiletries for the homeless.

The folks at Vince Canning will add another $5 to the donation.

Merrell makes sport shoes and slightly more fashionable slides like this taupe Gardenia Thong, which features a stretchy neoprene/spandex on a pigskin-lined nubuck leather upper with an antimicrobial footbed. It sells for $65.

What's really cool is the founder of Kids of Compassion is Amanda Denkler, who is only 11 years old. Her group has been making and distributing boxes for 2 years and has given over 600 boxes to local homeless people.

You can meet Amanda between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for drinks and hors d'oeuvres

Store hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.

Give it a try. Isn't giving to others what Christmas is all about?

XOXO -- Shopper Girl
